North India Incentive Tour - 06 Nights/07 Days

DAY 01 : Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi by flight to be advised, at (time to be advised.) On arrival, you will be met by Planet India representative and your guide at the airport. They will welcome you with a garland and transfer you to your hotel. On arrival at hotel you will be accorded special traditional welcome by an Indian Girl in traditional Indian dress, by doing special Aarti and Tikka ceremony. After enjoying your welcome drink, relax for some time in your room, which we will be holding for you for your immediate occupancy.Breakfast will be buffet in the hotel.

0830 hrs - Leave with English/language speaking guide escort for city tour of Delhi which is divided in to two parts – Old & New Delhi. Old Delhi which was mostly under the Muslim rulers, last Muslim ruler was Bahadur Shah Zafar from the Mughal dynasty. In this part of the city you will find many mosques, forts and buildings of Persian Islamic architecture, narrow lanes and by lanes, and old Havelis. Whereas the New Delhi is the city laid down by the British in the 19th century and has wide avenues, boulevards, and colonial building. You will be exploring the 400 year history.

Well, you will start discovering first the Old Delhi with your visit to Jama Masjid, the biggest mosque of India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1656, while constructing a new city which was called the Shahjahanabad.

After the visit of Jama Masjid, enjoy a Cycle Rickshaw Ride in the old city’s bazaars and residential areas of Chandni Chownk. It is indeed a unique experience to visit the lanes and narrow by lanes, as you see the busy crowded shops and hardly any space to move but still life is going on its own pace. Drive past Red Fort, again built by Shah Jehan , is a UNESCO World Heritage monument, and Rajghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi.

1230- 1330 - Lunch at one of the finest restaurant of Delhi – The Olive Bar Kitchen

1330 hrs. - Continue your city tour. This afternoon you will visit New Delhi, starting with Qutub Minar- a UNESCO World Heritage Monument. Built by Qutub-Ud- Din Aibak. The construction work began in 1199 on what was intended to be the most glorious tower of Victory. It is 72.5 meter high with five stories and is world’s largest brick minaret.

Next on the tour is Humayun’s Tomb, again a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It was built by Humayun’s wife in 1570. Later drive past the India Gate, a war memorial in the heart of the city and visit the Governments buildings, Rashtrapati Bhawan. The official residence of the President of India, earlier it was the residence of Viceroy of India during British Raj, and the Parliament House.

The tour will culminate with a visit to a Sikh Temple. An audience with a priest will be arranged specially for you. He will give a religious discourse on the religion.

1830 hrs. - Return to the hotel.
2000 hrs. - Welcome Dinner in the hotel.

Optional Gala Theme dinner can be organised such as Village Theme Dinner, Delhi Durbar Theme Dinner, Gala Dinner with Fashion Show.

Meals included are Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Overnight will be at 5 star deluxe hotel.

DAY 02 : Delhi - Agra

0600 hrs. - wake up call
0630-0730 - Breakfast in the hotel

0730 hrs. - Leave by surface for Agra by Yamuna Express Way.

0930 hrs. - Arrive Agra, on arrival stop of a visit of Itimad-Ud-Daulah, also known as Mini Taj, it was built by Noorjahan, the wife of fourth Mughal Emperor Jahangir for her father Ghiyas Beg, who was also Prime Minister of Jahangir and Itimad-Ud-Daulah was the title given to him.
The next monument in the itinerary will be Red Fort of Agra. The sight was originally used by Sher Shah’s son, however, the present structure owes its origins to Akbar.

1230-1400 - Check in into your hotel and have lunch. After lunch you will have some time to relax.

1530 hrs. - Get ready to visit the monument of love, also called a poem in the stone Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 to 1653 in memory of his wife Arjumand Bano Begaum, who was given the title of Mumtaz Mahal (the chosen one of the Palace), by Decorated Tonga’s (decorated horse cart)
(Please note: Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday)

1700 hrs. - Enjoy the shopping experience in the Mughal city and witness Marble Inlay Work at a local workshop. This art of inlay work is still carried out by the ancestors of the great craftsmen who worked at Taj Mahal.

1800 1830 hrs - Return to the hotel for Dinner. Optional Theme Dinners can or organized at the hotel such as Mughal Theme Dinner or Khema Dinner.

Overnight will be at a 5 star deluxe hotel. Meals included; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 03 : Agra – Geejgarh – Samode

0600 hrs.  - Wake up call.

0630 – 0730 hrs. - Breakfast in the hotel.

0730 hrs - Depart by surface for Samode, enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri once the capital of Akbar the Great, but abandoned later due to scarcity of water.

1200 hrs. - Lunch will be served in Geejgarh, en eco village resort, known for its Organic Farming, the Traditional Rajasthani lunch will be served in the lush green 4 acres of garden. Visit the Geejgarh village by Jugad, a spcially designed vehicle, used by the local people. Also PLANT A TREE TO OFFSET YOUR CARBON FOOT PRINTS, and as respect to Mother Nature and environment. You will also be visiting the local village school and interact with children there. If you wish to donate for under privileged children you can donate here through the Geejgarh Resort.

1430 hrs. - continue your drive to Samode. On arrival at 1700 hrs. at Samode, you will be welcomed by Dhol and Nagada. It is an instrument like drum and was played to announce the arrival or departure of the Maharaja. You will check in into Samode Bagh (Samode Garden), which is in the outskirts of Samode Village.

1930 hrs. - Special Welcome Cocktails for one hour in the gardens of the Samode Bagh with local music in attendance.

2030 hrs. - Dinner will be served. After dinner, those who wish to enjoy camp fire can stay back and try some Indian Liqueur. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Overnight will be at Samode Bagh

DAY 04 : Samode – Jaipur - Samode

0700 – 0800 hrs. Breakfast at the Bagh.

0830 hrs. - Leave for full day excursion to Jaipur, covering the distance of 40 km in one hour. Jaipur, “The city of Victory” is also known as Pink City, founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, who was a great astronomer besides a warrior and politician. Commence your tour with a visit to magnificent Amber Fort. You can accent the fort on Elephant’s Back, like the erstwhile Maharajas used to do, or you can ride on jeeps.

1200-1330 - Lunch will be in the Heritage Haveli of Samode Royal Family.

1345 hrs - leave for an orientation tour of Jaipur. Stop for a photo at Hawa Mahal, or the Palace of Winds. Later visit  City Palace Museum, which houses great collection of antiques, costumes and armory of the Rajput Kings and Mughals. Also you will be visiting Jantar Mantar Observatory – a UNESCO World Heritage site, built by Maharaja Jai Singh. Time permitting; you can enjoy a shopping tour in the city. Jaipur is shopper’s paradise and foreign buyers for wholesale and retail outlets descend in droves to stock up on textiles, hand woven rugs, Jaipur blue pottery, Jewellery, shoes, miniature paintings and ready-made clothing and house wares.  Also witness carpet weaving/gems cutting demonstration at a local unit.

1830 hrs. - Return to Samode for overnight.

2015 hrs. - Dinner in the lawns of Samode Bagh. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Overnight will be at Samode Bagh

DAY 05 : Samode

0630-0730 - Early morning Yoga session for the whole group in the lawns of Samode Bagh.

0800-0900 - Breakfast at Samode Bagh.

0915 hrs. - Leave for Jeep safari in the nearby villages to see the life style of the local inhabitants. Try the local “Chay” tea at the house of a villager, who will be very happy to offer you a cup of tea or at a local “Dhaba” a tea stall. You will also learn about the local crops and the techniques of agriculture in use in India. Traversing on the difficult sand routes, where at times you get struck, it is a wonderful way to discover the charm of local village. The safari will be culminated in to a Farm, where you will enjoy hot picnic lunch under the shades of trees. 

1200-1400 - Lunch at a Village Farm.

1430 hrs. - Return to Samode Bagh to relax.

1800 hrs. - Get dressed for your farewell Gala Dinner at Samode Palace. Assemble at the restaurant and together we leave for one of the finest evening of your tour. At the gate of the village, decorated canopied camel carts await your arrival. The group will distribute itself and mount camel carts. The camel caravan is escorted with torchbearers along with the procession which includes musicians to the dinner venue The Samode Palace. On your arrival the entire palace will be illuminated and there will be Royal Gards along with Horses and Camels on both sides of Red Carpet, with girls in classical Indian dresses to shower rose petals on you while you walk on the Red Carpet to be welcomed by the Palace Keeper and musicians in attendance. 


Upon arrival in the courtyard you will be again welcomed with garland and traditional tikka, before you proceed to Sheesh Mahal, the Mirror Palace for an alcoholic welcome drink. Later enjoy your cocktails and special Gala Dinner with dances in the Durbar Hall of the Palace or on the terrace of the Palace. It is indeed an evening to experience. Through- out your dinner the musicians and dancers will be performing along side. After dinner tea/coffee is served. The evening culminates with a fire work show against the stark naked mountain landscape and the skyline. A truly memorable evening! Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.Overnight will be at Samode Bagh.

DAY 06 : Samode - Delhi

0800 – 0930 hrs. Enjoy the breakfast at leisure in the Lawns of Samode Bagh. Morning will be free for relaxation in the gardens or at the poolside or for independent activities.

1200 – 1330 hrs. Lunch will be at the Samode Bagh.

1400 hrs. - Leave by surface for Delhi, covering the distance of 250 km in approx 5 hours.

OPTIONAL An exhibition Elephant Polo Match at a beautiful country side.

0945 hrs. - Leave by surface for Dera Amer (a beautiful country side location) to witness an exhibition match of Elephant Polo. The game of elephant polo was one of the ultimate royal experiences in the land of Maharajas. Players are dressed in traditional turbans and are greeted at the sprawling lawns by a royal military brass band. As in the days of royalty, the erstwhile royal guest’s arrival was accompanied by the beating of huge drums, nagadas and tableau of horses and camels add to the welcome before the start of the game. The players will give a demonstration of the game following which the guests can participate. Each Chukkar (round) lasts for about 8 to 10 minutes. The event ends with a splendid buffet lunch.

1400 hrs. - Leave for Delhi.

1900 hrs. - On arrival in Delhi, you will check in into a airport hotel.

Optional: rooms for wash and change will be given for 2 hours. (4 guests per room)

2030 hrs. - Dinner will be at the hotel. Later in the night Planet Holidays representative will escort you in time to international airport for your flight to onward destination.Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 07 : Delhi - Return Home

Depart Delhi by flight to be advised.
